How this calculator works
This approximation covers one layer of rectangular brick faces. It includes a joint in both module dimensions, so boundaries, bond patterns, openings and cut pieces need a separate check. Double-leaf walls and corners may require different quantities.
The formula
Bricks = wall area / ((brick length + joint) × (brick height + joint)). Apply waste, then round upward. Brick module dimensions are entered in millimeters.
A quick example
A 24 m² wall with a 225 mm × 75 mm module needs about 1,422.22 bricks before rounding. A 5% allowance gives 1,494 whole bricks.
How to use this calculator
- Choose the settings that match your scenario, using the units shown beside each field.
- Enter wall length, wall height, brick face length (mm), brick face height (mm).
- Calculate, then review the method and assumptions alongside the results.
