THE WORKING

How this calculator works

Select the metric before entering matching campaign totals. ROAS is a revenue multiple, not profit; CPM and CPC are currency costs. Conversion rates may exceed 100% if you count multiple conversion events per visit, so document your counting convention.

The formula

ROAS = revenue/spend. CPM = spend/impressions × 1000. Budget = CPM × impressions/1000. CPC = spend/clicks. Conversion rate = conversions/visits × 100.

A quick example

With 1,000 spend and 4,000 attributed revenue, ROAS is 4× (400%). Separately, 1,000 spend for 200,000 impressions gives CPM of 5.00.

How to use this calculator

  1. Choose the settings that match your scenario, using the units shown beside each field.
  2. Enter ad spend, attributed revenue, impressions, cost per thousand impressions.
  3. Calculate, then review the method and assumptions alongside the results.

A few common questions

Does high ROAS guarantee profit?
No. Product costs, staffing, refunds and attribution quality also affect profit.
Why combine these metrics on one page?
They use the same campaign totals but answer different questions; choosing a mode avoids entering irrelevant values.
