THE WORKING

How this calculator works

All results are gross pay before tax, benefits and other deductions. Monthly pay is annual pay divided by twelve, while weekly pay is per entered paid week. Unpaid leave, overtime, bonuses and irregular hours are included only if reflected in your inputs.

The formula

Annual = hourly rate × hours/week × paid weeks/year. Hourly = annual / (hours × weeks). Monthly approximation = annual/12.

A quick example

At 25 per hour, 40 paid hours a week and 52 paid weeks a year, annual gross pay is 52,000 and average monthly pay is 4,333.33.
